Bring the STEP file and drawing together.
Upload the STEP file for geometry analysis and add the engineering drawing where available. CadVex automatically extracts the drawing parameters, such as material, tolerances, threads and finishes, and fills them in for you to review. Each value shows where it came from and can be changed before quoting. The reading runs on CadVex’s servers through an AI service (Anthropic); CadVex Desktop reads the same drawing on your computer, with nothing uploaded.
- STEP geometry drives the machining analysis. The 3D model remains the source for features, operations, and stock.
- Drawings supply what the model can’t. Supported drawings can supply written requirements that are not contained in the 3D model.
- Nothing is applied blind. Extracted values remain reviewable and editable before quoting.
